Patrick Krug
I’d like to stay in Minto because it’s a great place

My name’s Patrick Krug. I go to school at Sarah Redfern High School. I’m 14, turning 15 this year.

My happiest memory living in Minto was moving here and growing up here, hanging around with all the kids. It’s a good place to stay.

I played soccer for the Minto Stingers for three years, I was a back. We won two grand finals. That’s my greatest achievement.

The first place I lived in when we moved here was in a townhouse in Stanford Way which just got built. I moved from Newtown. My mum wasn’t happy there and so we moved.

I’d like to stay in Minto because it’s a great place. If I was the mayor of Minto I’d make it a better place and move all the people that were here first.

The person I looked up to when I was growing up was my mum, she took care of me. She did everything for me. My dad was never around, he lived in the city.

My favourite music is rap, Fifty Cent. The way he speaks and his lyrics, he’s saying something to people. I’ve seen him a couple of times.

My first pet was a Rottweiler from the RSPCA for my fifth birthday, his name was Night. He was playful, he was a good dog. He got hit by a car so he’s no longer around. He was bigger than me when I was five; he was about 25, 30, 50 kilograms. My mum and my step-dad fed him. My favourite photo is with my second dog, Rusty coming out of my birthday cake.
